Disk replacement, had to reinstall WinXPsp2, which put boot on "I: ".
Computer Management / Disk Management now says "Windows can't change drive letter ". That's 2 major errors. Any HELP?

yep - u can't change the system drive letter after the install.

curious as to the reason u installed to i: at reinstall? - u can reinstall again and choose the letter u wish for the most part.

if there's some other info as to why the system drive is at i: ... maybe u could include that? IOW - it's sounds like something is missing here

    Hello abrammiller,

I'm just as puzzled as skeet is about how you ended up with this.

You're going to have to delete the current I boot partiton:
    http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnldutil.htm

Download DELPART and extract it to floppy - boot, make sure the BIOS is set to boot to the A drive first.

Then re install XP, otherwise you're going to end up with a dual boot if you install again w/o deleting that partition first.

    Regards - Charles
