I leave my Win98SE machine on every night to run various cleanup applications (DeFrag, Scandisk, etc.) and, about two third of the time, arrive in my office the next morning to find the Blue Screen with the message "Fatal Exception OD @ 0147:00005EBB ".

I have to hit the reset button to restart the machine (Ctrl-Alt-Del won't work), and usually (but not always) then get the MS nag about not shutting down the computer properly and a run of scandisk.

Any idea what the Fatal Exception message and freezeup might be symptomatic of, and how to fix it for good?

    Thanks,

PS I did a search and found only one previous entry applying to this error message.

    Thanks...

Yup :) But that site seems not to have any answers that I could find... :)

Well, I've printed it out for later review. Thanks for the references!
