Hi Guys. I just ran Belarc Advisor and it told me that I have downloaded
33 sp3 Hotfixes. How could I save them to a CD incase my system
goes down and I have to reload the complete WinXP-pro again.
I received a SP2 CD from Microsoft and would like to make a SP3
CD for safety. Thanks for the help. Jethroww

Hi Pete C. I tried to Slipstream my SP2 into XP PRO but it did not work for me ?
I just thought I could somehow copy the other hotfixes on another
    CD for backup? Thanks Jethroww

If you go to the second link Pete provided you can download the updates.

Did you copy both the XP CD and the SP2 CD to your hard drive before attempting to slipstream?

To resolve any problems here make an advanced search of the BBS for 'Slipstream' - titles only (from the drop down box) in the Windows XP forum

    Hello Jethroww,

Slipstreaming and burning out the hotfixes are two seperate questions.

After finding the updates in question on the Updates Catalog site, download them to folder(s) and then burn them out as you would any other data file.

If you don't have 3rd party cd/dvd burning software, use XP's built in one (for CD's only). Type "burn" into the search box of the Help and Support applet on the start menu and you'll get instructions on how to.

    Regards - Charles

I would not think so, but if you have the original XP CD use that plus your SP 2 CD. SP 2 is cumulative so the SP 1 CD would not be required for slipstreaming - or for a fresh install.
