Is there a way to tell Outlook to ONLY download my Inbox from SBC.

I do not want to get all the SPAM that sbc has filtered.

    Thanks in advance.

    kbstinky--Perhaps I misunderstand.
My experience with my ISP is all they do download is the "inbox" (new incoming email) minus whatever spam they have caught.
(I had to activate the filter spam at my ISP's website. It is of course, not perfect. Does SPB offer a spam filter? Do you have to activate it?)
After such activation, the spam which is filtered is not sent to my email client on the PC. It remains unopened and unseen (unless I acess it at the ISP's website) for x days and then is deleted (per setting in the email's Accounts|Properties|Advanced tab) .
I have never sent email from the ISP's website, so do not know if they would also download that or keep it on their server. Is it the latter what you are talking about? I can, however, access all incoming email at the website.
All my other sent mail, deleted items, etc are generated on my PC, so the ISP's server is not involved except to transmit sent email. I cannot access the email I send from OE (I do not use Outlook) at the ISP's email web site. They do not seem to keep it on their server.

On sbc I can look/touch/feel or whatever with the email. Both the "inbox" and the "bulk" folder.

On my pc, I can download ALL my mail from sbc by clicking on the "send/receive" button. I do not have an option of selecting which folders on sbc are sent. Or, at least I cannot find the setting.

I was wondering if there was a way to setup Outlook to just grab the inbox at sbc, and nothing else.

    Thanks

kbstinky--Sounds like a question to ask SBC. As mentioned my ISP's server only stores incoming messages, so that is all they download to me.
