I was wondering if it were possible to connect automatically to my ISP at windows startup? I have a broadband connection. Thank you.

Do you want your internet browser to open at your ISP's page when windows first starts? If so, put a shortcut to the website in your startup folder. Should do the job.

    C:\documents and settings>your user name>start menu>programs>startup

Thanks, Zander, but I suppose what I really mean is whether I can connect to the internet automatically at windows startup, without having to click on the desktop icon when startup has completed, as I do presently.

If you put a shortcut to the website in the startup folder it should do that. When windows starts, your browser will open and connect to your ISP automatcally. No intervention from you required.

Thanks, Zander. Inspired by your suggestion I decided to put a shortcut to the 'Connect to ISP' desktop icon into my C:/Documents & Settings/All Users/Start Menu/Programs/Startup/ folder. It worked! Much obliged :)

You're welcome! Glad to hear it worked for you. I was wondering if perhaps I was still misunderstanding you somehow. Guess not. :)

    Edit:
The all users folder is fine unless you have more accounts on the computer than just yours. If you put it in that folder it'll open for everybody that logs on to the computer in any account. If you put it in your user folder, it'll only open for you when you log on to your account. Just thought I'd mention it as others using the computer might not want it to open at start up and the rest you can guess. :)

Thanks for the 'edit', Zander. I'm the only account/user on this computer, but I'll keep what you say in mind. :)
