    tomron,
    Just to get things clear:
    1. You are saying that you can not log into cnet when you fill in you username and password - is that correct
    or
    2. It does not fill in you name and password

    which one 1 or 2

    regards:captjlddavis

What are the names of the cookies that you are trying to set in Firefox?

Are there cookies other than "www.cnet.com" that the CNET site might set?

I think you must either be blocking the cookies on cnet, or are somehow inadvertently deleting them, but for the life of me I haven't figured out how!

I can not log into cnet when I fill in my username and password

For example, lets say I tried to logon on to BBS with username & password but it don't work (with FF) but I am able to logon to any other site(with FF)

    I don't know

The site that I go to is "cnet help" not cnet.com

By say deleting them,do you mean clearing them, cause I always clear history, saved forms, cookies.& cache.

    There's a remove site button ( reviews.cnet.com ) and that did it

    Why was it blocked?

    Tom,

I'm glad you finally found that elusive cookie! I hate to tell you, but the only way it would be blocked, is if you blocked it... Maybe you highlighted the cookie in error? At any rate you are ready to go now, on CNET! :D

I can't take the credit, that honor goes to BSS & CNET HELP (not CNN)

I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles LOL

    Much appreciated,
    Tom

I am, still, not sure what we were looking for, or finding it. I have been using cnet.com, and reviews.cnet.com is one of the Tabs of cnet.com. the login is for tech sites, and, although it has a Reviews subsection, the login is available everywhere. I have never bothered signing up. So, are we ok now?
