Is there any way I can resize an NTFS partition without buying expensive software such as Partition Magic?

    Without a reformat/reload I don't think so.

Well scottmso, Depending on whether you're either a real whiz on computer fundamentals or a devout masochist, you could use the freeware Ranish Partition manager.

I recommend it highly for anyone wanting to learn. There is a help group listed there also, if you need any hand holding. One word from me before proceeding, BACKUP.

If nothing else, you'll come away with a better appreciation of professional GUI software and marvel at how they can do it so cheaply.

    Good luck.
