Where did the Administrator go?

I can't seem to logon as Administrator in XP. The symptoms are confounding me....Please help:

1. I have only ONE account called "TheKidz" with "Computer Administrator" rights.

2. When I logon to the "TheKidz" account I can't get to the Security settings to (for example) turn off the System set shares, or the security snap-in from My Computer / Manage

3. When logged on as "TheKidz" I try to "create" an account called "Administrator" I am told that it already exists.

4. When I try to logon as "Administrator" I do not get a password error, but instead this "unable to logon due to limitation "

Clearly, the system thinks there is an account called "Administrator" and I can't seem to get there from here!

Any suggestions?

Is "unable to logon due to limitation " the exact wording of the error message?

Unable to log you on because of an account restriction

 

If you have XP Home

Error Message: Unable to Log You on Because of an Account Restriction (Q290109) should help clarify your situation.

BTW - I went to Microsoft Online Support, put in
Unable to log you on because of an account restriction
from your last reply, told it to find the exact phrase, and got the above plus two other hits.
