NT 4 upgrade to WIN2k

    After upgrading my nt 4 workstation to win2k i notices users can not save their desktop wallpaper or screen saver after log off. This client is in a NT 4 domain so GPO's have not been implemented.

    Mandatory Profiles are not implemented

    This behaviour only started after the upgrade, roaming profiles are not mandatory. All my NT 4 workstations do not exhibit this behaviour and users have sufficient permissions to write out their profile. Any feedback on this issue is appreciated...

    The "Power User" rights on 2K are very similar to the "User" rights on NT4. 2K "User" rights are much more restricted than they were with the earlier versions (3.5x was similar to 4.0).

    Sounds like you need to make any authenticated 2K user a member of Power Users or make some other group that suits your needs.
