    Hi all,

Has anybody ever used this software before?......

    www.limewire.com

A friend recommended it to me.

Been computing about 3 years now, but I've never ventured into file sharing yet. I was hoping to download a few songs every now and then, but that's about it.

    Thanks

Some versions of Limeware have spyware-malware. I made my kids stop using it and uninstalled it cause the limewire network contains a lot of malicious shared files. Plus, as the kids already have tons of music they downloaded long ago, I got them to "see the light" and realize that they should not be involved in the illegal file sharing of copyrighted music. However illogical the RIAA is, the sharing of such music at present is illegal as laws have been made against it. The kiddie have part tiemjobs after school and now buy cds and rip the music to their comps for their own listening only.

There is a lot of available legal downloads of mucic by well known artists. Check the artist's web sites and check here:

    James Martin,
Tony T hit the nail on the head about Limewares' Spyware/Malware and malicious shared files. I just Cleaned out a PC that had 20GB HDD and 19.7GB was used up with all kinds of "Garbage" and of course a complaint about running rather slow!!

Moral of the story ... stay away from these type of sites (Also remeber that the powers that be from RIAA may be monitoring you.)

    Lime Wire OK

Hello, I have used Lime Wire  and have enjoyed the music. I don't burn it to CD's but I listen to it on my PC. I always keep my PC clean anyway because you have to stay current to keep any and all spyware off our computers.
I have never had any trouble with lime wire.....
