Havent seen any of those problems (unless a site was messed up). My memory usage is
58(+)kb with only 1 site open. With 5 tabs open, memory usage dropped to 50(+)kb.

Must be bad installs or bad Add\Removes before updating to 1.5 other related problems.
FF works fine for me. The only problem i have had was due to headspace on my part and
    was from a third-party addon.

Even so, the guys who know are working on a fix (for whatever).

    I'm quite happy with 1.5,

I had reported some minor problem, in the past. We will leave it at that.
Firefox1.0.7 is still my default, but, in all fairness I should make FF1.5 my default. I have been using FF1.5 about as much as 1.0.7, which I am using now, and, have not noticed anything exceptional, except that only FF1.5 seemed to need a swift kick (reload) to wake up. It would be interesting to have some real statistics.
By the way it seemed to take forever to load anything from informationweek.com. I never saw any program taking 99.4 sec. to load a page.
That was on page 2. Even Opera8.51, which beats all other program has been having problems loading any page from that site.
    Has anyone seen this?

FF 1.5 seems stable enough here

Haven't noticed any problems -- so far. But, then, I'm not sure I'm technically up enough to notice some of those symptoms. Your linked page loaded instantly -- no problems.

Ditto Clif and Bob ... no problems here with FF 1.5. The linked pages at InformationWeek loaded instantly the first time I tried, earlier this morning, but somewhat more slowly just now. I think that problem is with InformationWeek's servers, though, rather than with FF.

amazingly, I seem to notice everything is listed in this article. I never, ever looked at the memory usage, but since this is mentioned, I decided to check it. FF1.5 hover between 56-64K, while 1.0.7 is at 33K, and IE at 35K (IE is at 20K when "resting ".
So, why not check all my many browsers? Opera8.51 and Kmeleon 0.9 (updated to rv.1.7.12) were the light weights at 15K. Netscape7.2 and Mozilla1.7.12 at about 50K. And then the oddballs, Donzilla0.9, based on Seamonkey1.0b ( it is a full suite, but somewhat related to FF1.5, with rv.1.8) at 39K, and, finally the Seamonkey 1.5a suite at only 20k. The heavyweight was NS8.0.4 at nearly 70K.
I have no clue what this means, and don't really care much, but it may be a dangerous trend. I, generally, rotate all my browsers, so I have little change to use any one of them for hours. As I promised I made FF1.5 default, and, it seems ok.
As for the InformationWeek website, both FF1.0.7 and 1.5 loaded the home page in a maximum of two seconds. Superficially, at least, there is no problem with 1.5, but nothing to write home about.

I did a few additional tests, by removing Tabs, from 3 to 1, and extentions from five to two, in 1.5. The Memory Usage went down to 45-46K, still quite high, but it gives an indication of the effect of these feature. In Safe Mode, the Mem. usage is down to 19K.
And, in contrast 1.0.7 has 5 tabs and 9 extentions, and it draws about 35K.
There is, definitely, something wrong with 1.5. I will keep an eye on the proposed 1.5.01, but 1.5 is gone.
