I recently replaced an old PC with a new one using XPHome. The user asked me to transfer settings etc. and also a DOS programme he uses called SuperCalc. Since the prog. was DOS it was simple enough to transfer the relevent folder and it performs just fine except it won't print. I'm guessing that I will need to install the relevent DOS drivers for the printer but doubt it will be this simple. Can anyone give me any guidlines or pitfalls to avoid.

    LPT port Support

Although I haven't personally tried this hack, the 'literature' seems to support that this really works.
(This site gives these instructions to allow it's own program "Writelog" to print, but the hack evidently works for all programs.)

I print from SuperCalc to a parallel printer from XP.
If other programs will print, it's probably not a driver problem. Is it a parallel, serial or USB printer? (because if it's USB, it probably will not work.)
