If it is just a workstation or two acting up, quickest is to remove them from the domain (to a workgroup) and then add them back to the domain.

They will be issued a new SID which should be a good one.

    Hi Newt,

Thanks, appreciate the response. Perhaps you can help me with another problem I have. I am using ICQ 2002a and cannot receive files using it under windows adv. server. Do you know what port icq uses for files transfers, I am running from behind a linksys router and probably need to open the port.

    Success

    Hi,
I had to use port triggering in order to get it to work, Not knowing which ports ICQ used for listening, they told you to open from 1024-65536, which I wasn't going to do. Linksys support said to use port triggering which will open and close the port upon request. Thank for you help!, I truly appreciated it.

Cool beans, man! I think it's hilarious that ICQ says to open ports 1024-65536. Makes me wonder about their product.

    Hi,

Makes me wonder as well, but that is what the Firewall settings center advises, go figure. Using port triggering I can open all those ports, but they only stay open for as long as the transfer lasts, then it closes again. Pretty neat huh?
