I installed Windows XP Pro and then the PalmOne software for the Treo, which upgraded Netscape. Now several mail folders are lost. I have tried going back through System Restore without success. I have tried using a previous prefs.bak file. I can see some of the content in a *.slt file that appears to have messages from the time frame that is missing, but can't get the profile, and even a new profile I created, to read or open the *.slt file.
    What am I missing?

    Welcome to the Forum, gjwelsh!

    Greg,

If you are using Netscape 7.2, then do this:

    Open Netscape Mail & Newsgroups
Open Edit | Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings | Server Settings
Scroll to the bottom of the Server Settings window
Check the field which contains the "Local directory" path
Ensure this path points to the Mail Account folder which contains the messages
    Example:
    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profile_name\*.slt\Mail\pop.isp_name.net

I'm sorry to say that I am totally ignorant about the Palm software, or Treo. I am wondering, however, how this upgraded Netscape?

    Update

    Thanks, Ramona -
I'll let you know how it turns out. Netscape got upgraded from 6x to 7x because Verizon uses it to drive the browser interface for Palm software installation.
