I recently bought Adobe Elements and installed it per usual. It worked fine once then the next time I opened the Organizer I was unable to access the photo editor or quick editor. The Adobe forum suggested I re-install which I did after un-installing everything Adobe I could see in Windows Explorer. Again, it worked once. When I try to open the editor I get an error mess about attempting to access an invalid address. This sounds to me like some kind of dreaded registry thing. I've never had a problem like this before.

I was just looking at my Control Panel and now I see something called Adobe Gamma which I never noticed before. If I un-install ADobe Reader and Elements again how do I get rid of this thing which I don't even see in Windows Explorer?

That is the Gamma correction tool that comes with Adobe Elements (and Photoshop). It should uninstall when you uninstall Elements. Try this... uninstall Elements, reboot your computer, then reinstall Elements. When you reinstall Elements disable your antivirus (don't forget to turn it back on  ), sometimes your antivirus can cause problems during an installation. I don't think it's a registry problem, the error you are getting usually refers to a 'memory address'. If the problem persists, write down any error messages you receive and post back here. Also information on your computer would help, what version of Windows, how much ram, etc.

I get an error mess: attempting to access an invalid address.

I've installed lots of other programs including some high powered CAD programs without any problems. When I re-installed I did disable my AV programs.

I was hoping to avoid a reinstall as I've already invested a fair bit of time in organizing my pictures. But since it appears inevitable can I save them to another folder before I reinstall? When I look at the Adobe folder in Win Explorer I don't see where the photos are located.

    Thanks :)

I don't believe that Elements actually moves your photos. They should be in the original folders. Have you gotten the error message since the reinstall?
