    Hi There,

We have a 2000 server that is running out of disk space on the 1st partition however there is over 295mb of space that can be clawed back if I move or delete the hidden $ntuninstall & $msiuninstall folders that are held in the c:\winnt folder.

Can these folders be deleted or moved without causing any problems..???

    Many thanks

    Hello catsystems,

Yes, they can be moved or deleted.

If deleted, you can't uninstall the MS updates they are for. If copied, they can be moved back for use.

I don't see the point of keeping the really old ones though, uninstalling a hot fix from 6 months or more ago I think would cause more problems than it would solve.

    Regards - Charles
