I used to have a rule that took a bit of effort to set up and that I lost yesterday when the office server was upgraded. I can't seem to replicate the steps I took then and can't recall how to set this rule up form scratch.

In Netscape this is so easy but in Outlook it defeats me: how can I place a copy of outgoing messages in my inbox instead of the sent mail box?

    Outlook 2003.

    Thanks in advance for help.

Hmm. Guess this is too hard even for the experts here.

Here's a supplementary question ... how can I bcc all outgoing messages to myself?

    ??? I use OE.

Uncheck the option to save copies of sent messages to the Sent Item folder.

    Add message rule

When message arrives from (select the account that is sending)

    Move to (Inbox)

As for bcc to yourself , I'm lost as to how to do that automatically with Outlook.

Thanks for replying. Without having the outgoing emails copied to me, I can't apply a rule since they've only left me, not arrived in my inbox yet.

Also, I can't find any setting in Outlook to enable or disable "place copy in sent ".

OL doesn't have this ability out of the box.
You can get a third party add-in such as this one from Sperry Software:
    http://www.sperrysoftware.com/Outlook/Always-BCC.asp

Or you can do it programatically using the Object Model. There is code for this available on the web.
