    Hello,

My friend had trouble loading Windows and decided to do a repair install, everything seems to be ok with the exception that drive D: dissappeared. It does not show in "My Computer" neither in disk Disk managment, any help to at least recover lost space if not the data, regards,

no no it just dissappeared, all other partitions (3) are all the same size as they where before with all date intact except the D: partition and the problem is that the Program Files folder was on this partition and would be more then happy to get it back and avoid reinstalling all my existing software.

I managed to solve the problem. Since this computer is not mine I assumed he had one partitioned harddrive but this was not the case, the partition D: was a seperate physical harddrive which accidently had its IDE cable disconnected, thank you all for your time, best regards,
