folders and files in HJT lines

    Ok my friends, How do you recognize which is a folder & which are files in a HJT line ???? what gives it away for you ???

    Files have extensions like .dll and .exe ?
    Beyond that, the code before the entry (R1, 04 etc for example) indicate what hijackthis was looking for.
    Analysis of a hijackthis log is something which takes time and effort to learn. There are several good training classrooms, such as tom coyote, spywareinfo, and greyknight.
    If you are asking about when we tell someone what to delete how we decide whether to just delete a specific file or a whole folder, that depends on the specific infestation .
