and the system tray was a lighter shade of blue, now its gone! disappeared when it came back up from pushing the button after world wind sort of got stuck and would not answer any closings. dont know if that has anything to do with the missing colors or not,but i sort of liked them. just hope it wasnt/isnt a ooh nasty. microsoft anti-spy is due to run in a half hour and when it finishes i go to live safety center and have it checked. and if it isnt a ooh nasty how can i get the colors back they were really pretty. as usual.

microsoft anti spy run ziltch, same for windows live safety center, had tracking cookie on adaware, and congradulations on spybot just nothing so it isnt a ooh nasty(unless its one that cant be traced) any ideas

    jan,

Have you tried re-starting the computer? That may take care of any problems left over from WorldWind not wanting to close properly. HTH

    Hello Jan,

Right click on the empty desk top > properties > appearance tab > is the color scheme blue? Which style are you using - classic or XP.

    Regards - Charles

charlesvar, same thanks to you. answer to your question is classic and brick for the color. something i forgot, the x to close was red. i thought that was neat since i dont know how many times i have meant to minize and hit that x and closed the window. that red x is a deterent from doing that. cool and now i find maybe it isnt suppose to be red. first time ive had xp,never seen it before. this is just another learning experience,i guess again i thank you.

    Jan,

I have the colors you mentioned on my XP system now. Try changing from Classic to XP and set the color to Blue(default). That should give you your colors back and the red close box at the top of the programs.
