Mcupdate error

    Hi there,

    Over the past several days I have been getting the same error message. It says that if the problem persists to try re-booting. After re-booting several times I still am getting the error message. My system also freezes up alot. The error message reads: Mcupdate error in OLE32.DLL

    Does anybody have a clue what it means and how to stop it from continuing?

    Mcupdate

    AutoUpdate & AutoUpgrade background utility task which comes with McAfee VirusScan 4.x. Its purpose is to automatically update your McAfee software with the latest virus updates and software updates whenever you connect to the Internet.

    Recommendation :
    Disable the AutoUpdate feature within McAfee VirusScan and make a point of regularly updating VirusScan manually. In our opinion there are too many problems with MCUPDATE to bother with it.
