I am running XP with SP2 on a LAN that is wired through an iBlitzz wireless 4-port router. While surfing the web or reading e-mail suddenly I lose the internet connection and the pc has to be rebooted to come on line again. This happens in the course of 3 or 4 times in a day of using the internet. It doesn't matter what page I am on or what e-mails I may be working with. I have another wired XP w/SP2 that never has this problem. Also I have three other wireless pc's, XP and 98 (all running IE), and I have never had this problem with them.

Any idea on what may be causing this would be appreciated? Is there any program I can run or check? By the way, I did run sfc /scannow and that did not change anything.

Take a look in your event logs to see if there is a clue in any of them. start->run->eventvwr.msc

I'm not sure what I am supposed to be looking for. This run command is new to me. Any hint on what errors I might be looking for?

    Hello El Parro,

For any line that has a red error symbol or yellow warning shield in any of the 3 categories: Application - Security - System.

    Regards - Charles

I have plenty of red error's and yellow warnings. Now what do I do with them?

    Hi El Parro,

Pick the ones for about the time of the problem.

Right click on the line > properties > left click on "document" button. That sends it to the clip board. Then bring up either Notepad or Wordpad and right click and paste. Then you can paste it into your post for others to look at.

    Regards - Charles
