    Hi all,

I am posting this for my mom.
She got a brand new computer recently (July) with XP Home (specs below).

However, when you go to shut down, it has a odd process.
After you click shut down, and tell it what you want to do,
it will pop up a series of ending task 'things'. With programs with names such as zcom ad?, Spysweeper (our spyware sweeper). And it takes a while for it to shut down. (My fully loaded ME shuts down faster than hers.). But the funny thing is, you can just turn it on for 5 seconds and go to shut down and it repeats this process. Is it corrupted or what?

Specs: eMachines, CDburner, dvd rom drive, 512 MB RAM, AMD (64 athlon(sp) ) chip @ 2.0 GHz, and 160 GB RAM. It was bought in July 2005. It has almost NO applications on it, execpt for netzero 3g, wal-mart connect, Mcafee, and Spysweeper.

zcom.ad appears to be part of NetZero 3g... see thread here . Write down the names of the other programs that are not shutting down properly, then search for them on Google (or post back here). :D You may be able to find some relevent information. Also update you antivirus and spyware programs, then run system scans to make sure there isn't any malware lurking on the computer.

    B
