    I am using McAfee anti-virus
It keeps detecting a W32/Poebot.dam virus.
the message keeps popping up, saying
C;\windows\system32\spooIsv.exe is infected by w32/Poebot.dam virus
virus can not be cleaned or deleted, so I quarantine it
but it keeps showing up again and again.
I have quarantined it several times but cannot get rid of it.
It also shows up when I run a scan and I quarantine it then also.
    same thing..
    keeps coming back.
can anyone give me any advice as to how to remove this?
    thanks a lot
    Barbara

    Hi Barbara,

Download HijackThis.exe from here. Save it to a permanent folder (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT). Open and click scan, then save log. Once it is saved it will open in notepad. Select all from the edit button, copy and paste the results here. Don't fix anything with it yet!

    hi
    thanks for the reply.
I think I solved it on my own.
I did some exploring on the net and found that spoolIsv.exe is some sort of spy ware.
I used Super Ad Blocker and it found it and deleted it.
    things seem ok now
when I then ran virus scan, it found nothing, so it is gone.
