I have a couple of photos sent to me using ADOBE as medium. I wish to edit and crop them but cannot in their present form. Is there a way to change file ext. from .pdf to .jpg without corrupting the file? When I try, I get the usual warning, but, is there a way around this?

rickyD2--I have not used any of these programs

I see many of these programs require purchase.
I would think you could--for free (and assuming you have installed Adobe Reader on your PC--also for free)
    1) Copy the image from the .pdf document by clicking the Select tool (I>) on Reader's toolbar and use the mouse cursor to create a rectangle around what you want to save/convert. That would put whatever you select onto your clipboard. You could then open any graphic editor (MSPaint, Irfanview, etc.) and Paste. Then save as .jpg.
    2) Take a screen shot (Print Screen). That would copy the whole visible page onto clipboard. Then follow the same procedure as above, except that you would probably want to crop to only the part of the screen shot you want. In Irfanview, for example, you would drag the cursor to create a rectangular box around what you want to save, click Edit|Cut (leave selection), then save.

As a former Albuquerque resident, and as a member of this forum I wish to convey my thanks to you for the solution to my problem. I used Irfanview and the results were just what I wanted. It was simple and easy. Again my thanks.
