no desktop wallpaper

i`m not sure about the question if its windows or not. i had a window to come up said i had spyware on computer i think i got rid of it but now i cant get the desktop wallpaper to work all i have is a white screen. ive tryed everything i found on the web can you help?

troy8: First of all, welcome to the Board!

I don't use a wallpaper myself, just a custom color background, but if you haven't already done so you might try the following:

Open the Control Pane.l
Double-click on Display.
Click on the Desktop tab.
Toward the bottom is a Background pane. There may be one or more files listed here.
If one of them is the wallpaper file you want, select that, click on Apply and then OK your way out of Control Panel. Did that work?
If no files are listed there or the particular wallpaper file you want isn't there, click on the Browse button and work your way through to wherever you keep the file you want. Select it, click on Apply, then OK your way out of Control Panel. Did that work?

yes i have tryed that it doesnt work there is backgrounds listed it wont let me pick them the are froze and cant select any of them.icant even change the color of background
