I have a Motorola SimpleFi wireless media player. When connected I see a " Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the tool tray. Looking at Network Connections, it's connected at 1.6Mbps.and working OK. Then I got my new computer(I need to update my signature)and get an exclamation icon in the tray telling me it has limited or no connectivity but still shows 1.6Mbps connection. The songs will start playing but rarely finish. The folks that built my machine say it's a problem with the unit, not my new computer although it still works fine on my old machine. The trouble shooting section for the media player has no info on this problem. I've tried it in all 6 USB ports with the same results. Repairing the connection hangs at "renewing IP address ". I removed and reinstalled everything under USB in the device manager with the motherboard driver disk. All Windows updates are current. Anyone out there know what to do about this? Let me know if you need more information.

    Thanks,Mark

    Hi Blufx,
There are updated drivers for Simpleware and USB here:
    http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/support/default.asp?supportSection=DiscontinuedProducts

The "installation addendum" mentions separate drivers for the wireless network. Since it is having trouble with setting an IP address, these may be the problem. Look at Network Adapters in Device Manager of the old system. Compare them with the new system. Even if they are listed as being the same, find and install the original drivers or updated drivers on the Net.
