Have you considered writing a script and getting task scheduler to run it at a specified time?

Pete thanks for your reply, I don't know what a script is, are you refering to a macro, or a program in a certain language, such as c or c++. I have very little exprerience with programming with c, and no other knowledge. I wish you could clarify what you mean by the term script. At the moment i have managed to get the job done using a utility known as a macro writer, editor, sheduler, namely "macro express" and to do so with success. There are however a number of glitches that i am working on. I wish this particular program saved the output as an .exe. file rather than having to jog and shedule a miriad of macros, but maybe you boys and gals can suggest a better macro editor for me to use. I initially tried getting the job done recording key strokes (and what good memories of windows 3.1 did that bring, back when microsoft included programs that empowered the user instead of the usual prepackaged **** it publishes now) but i found i could manipulate the whole thing better by the set command in the macro editor. Awaiting your response.

I am sure that what you want to achieve can be done via a script, but I have to admit to having no experience in this area.

Some guidance on Scripting here and some useful information in Help & Support under Scripts.

I have never used it (not even installed it) but maybe PC INSPECTOR task manager can do what you want?

It's freeware and won't cost a cent (EURO) to try!
