Win XP Updates Fail

    Recently, all attempts to install XP updates fail. Any ideas?

    Any error or warning entries in your event logs that may offer a clue or two? start->run->eventvwr.msc and OK.

    If you go to Windows Update, click on Review your update history in the left menu. Anything listed there (as failed)?

    Update history shows all failed updates since October 28.

    OK. UPdate is working again butI'm embarrassed to admit that I don't know which fix did it. I tried 7 or 8 and after so many reboots lost track of which fixed the problem.
