I use 2 different computers alternately. My laptop when I travel for several months at a time and my desktop at home. Both using IE and Outlook Express. I have both computers networked when I'm home for transferring data.
My question is this. I know where OE keeps it's data such as the contents of my folders, but what I would like to do is change the default folder to My Documents because than I can just copy My documents folder over and all my OE data goes with the rest of my data. This would be a great time saver for me. Also I wouldn't forget to copy it separately when I have to leave in a hurry.
An alternative would just be to copy that data to my Documents periodically but when I go to file/export messages it only allows me to copy them to "Outlook" or "Default Outlook profile ". No browse button to select My Documents or anything else. Ideally the data could just live in a My Documents folder and not have to be backed up to that folder all the time. I hope I explained this sufficiently.

    floyd--
It sounds like you know that OE keeps the message data in what is called the Store Folder. (OE Tools|Options|Maintenance tab|Store Folder. You can change the location of the Store Folder in that window.)
However, the Address Book is kept elsewhere.
You did not tell us what version of Windows (and IE) you are using, so I cannot tell you where it is kept. But you can find it by doing a Search or Find for*.wab.
Moving it and having it still work is not so simple

floyd--Your Address Book should be in C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

Jim, Thank You. You must be a God. I can't tell how often I've tried different things and nothing worked.
    Again Thank you very much.

Now that that is done, I just thought of one other thing. Do you have a way to make the "My Documents" folder the default for MY Favorites in IE. That would solve all my problems and keep both my PC's synched the way I want.
    Thank you again.

Concerning changing the location of the Favorites folder

If you use the Registry method, remember to back up that key first (Registry File|Export).
