I cleared out Event Viewer and restarted XP Pro.

Under the Application tab of Event Viewer there is a entry at the bottom showing.

    A Yellow Triange ( warning ) with a date of 10/31/05 9:44 AM -- Userenv.
By watching I see this is the time I shutdown ( restarted ) XP Pro.

Under System There is a 4th line up reading
Red circle with an X--ERROR--10/30/05--9:46AM Service Control Manager.
This indicate to me it is after the restart.

This has been this way for a long time and I have no problems that I am aware of. But my curiosity is getting the best of me.

Also right now would not be a very good time to dig into something that I am not familiar with. Nancy just lost a long time Friend and co-worker ( death ). And I have my own health problems ( mostly not yet knowing for sure what is what ) is bugging me.

So right now my bottom line is; "If it is working without problems, LEAVE IT ALONE. "

Unless they are in a different place there are none other than the one refered to one I mention as ERROR for in the System Section.

The one in the System section is simple enough. It just says it can't find a file.

The one in Applications refers to NT Authority System ( apparently being in use ) which I have no idea what it is.

I also see references to Group Policy Apps. Which I also have no idea about. And which I may have but do not realize.

And I would be willing to bet that if I fixed one it would fix the other also.

    Thanks PeteC

I will take a look at that. But as I mentioned in my original post I cannot, will not and SHOULD not get too deep into this right now.

No real problems exist and I have much more important things to take care of.
