I'm using Windows XP Pro. Whenever I try to right click a program on the Start menu, no right click menu appears. Well, momentarily it will show and then disappear to rapidly. What could be causing this to happen?

Right click on the Start button, left click on Properties.

On the Start Menu tab, click on the Customize button.

    Go to the Advanced tab.

Find "Enable dragging and dropping" in the list and click on its box to check it.

    Click OK and OK again.

Why it works that way is anybody's guess but it does.

Thanks Miz, that fixed the problem. I agree, why it works that way is a mystery. :)

All you needed was a fellow Kansan to provide the answer! :D

Thanks for posting back to let us know it worked.
