I'm running XP Pro SP2 and this above mentioned screen is a large pain. It comes up right after I have my network connection dial my ISP.

I must have changed something without realizing it because this just started appearing a few days ago.

It says "After Dial Terminal" at the top left. It has a border and a black screen. It appears to run something like a DOS program. It asks for my User Name then Password in green characters. Once the data is entered I have to click on a Done button at the bottom for it to disappear and get back to the "progress" window.

Anyone know how to turn this thing off so I can go back to "normal" XP?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks, Pete C. I had swapped in (insalled) a new modem and apparently the value changed at that time.

Looks like there is more info available by searching the web than I thought (I guess assumed is appropriate) there would be. Lesson learned.

Always glad to help and glad that the solution was that straightforward - never underestimate the power of Google :D
