    Hello,
My wife was checking ads for dolls, and she says that's when the popup started coming up much more frequently. I tried to clean up, with HJT, several items that included "RunOnce" and "No Name ", but I see that they are back.
This PC runs on Windows XP Home Edition, and I did not try to do the clean up in safe mode. Here is the latest log:

This indicates an infection with Adtomi. Go Here and follow their instructions for manual removal.

    O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [9d0brna.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\9d0brna.exe /k
    O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [9d0brna.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\9d0brna.exe /k

Not 100% positive about this one - could be part of that same adware but in any case, I seriously doubt if it is anything legit. Good to clear these entries and then change the name of 9d0brna.exe to 9d0brna.exe-old which will block it from working but can easily be reversed if you later find it was a legit program.

    O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Find Fast.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\FINDFAST.EXE
Not any sort of foreign malware but probably the worst piece of sludge Microsoft ever put on a PC. It has been around since Office95 or before and has caused system slowdowns since day #1. I understand the theory but somehow they have never gotten the practice to perform. I'd recommend killing the entry and turning off Findfast.

I don't really see anything else that looks abnormal.

    Newt,
    Thanks for your timely response!

I understand what you said, but I am having difficulties following the instructions per the link that you provided.
The Adtomi related processes to be 'killed', as described by the link, are 'prmvr.exe', 'ystcka32.exe', and ystck32.exe', but these are not running now, and were not running earlier. Also, they say to remove those files as well, but I can't find them.
These are the processes that are runing now (from HJT):
    ====================================
    Running processes:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe

Could be a left-over from an incomplete cleaning you did via one of the spyware cleaners. If the files & processes aren't there then I'd just use HJT to remove the registry entry.

The other possibility is that you have a newer variant than the removal instructions dealt with but in that case, all you can do is wait for symptoms and maybe do another HJT log in a week or so and post it.

Since the spyware guys are making a profit and employ paid programmers this isn't unusual since they can churn out new stuff a little faster than the (mostly hobby) spyware killer sites can keep up.
