Windows Explorer opens only in Search Mode

    With no apparent change in Windows XP Home, Windows Explorer opens normally but when I go to select a folder it opens the folder in the Search mode. This happens without exception and I can't find anywhere to change to the original defaults. Any help would be appreciated, thanks...

    In Explorer, click on Tools->Folder Options->File Types->edit Folder and File Folder to look like the attached picture. (yours probably has the word search in it)
