    I have Win XP Pro.

I left the computer with an application running. (A specialist Application).

Anyway, when I returned, the screen was on Screensaver but it was frozen. No key or mouse would bring it out of this state.

So I restarted the PC. It booted up but to a Blank Screen. After doing this a couple of times, I managed to get the screen which asks if you want to start Windows in Safe Mode or Last know Good Configuration - which is what I chose.

Finally, I arrived in Win XP but my Blue Windows theme and the Olive Green Theme have gone. They are no longer in the list when I right click on the desktop and go to properties. At the moment, I'm using that default silver crappy theme.

Where could the good XP themes be and how do I get them back?

    Its actually a services fault.

Although the Themes service says "Started ", there's something wrong there coz Luna file says its not.

When I go to shut it down, it timesout and stalls.

    Ideas?

Hi Newt, That produced no errors.

    What can I try now?

I've managed to get my Themes working again by doing an XP Repair with the CD.

But now, every time I reboot, the theme reverts to CLassic Style.

    How do I fix this?
