Here is my problem. I have two computers, both windows xp pro. both fully updated with sp2. they are connected to a network hub, that hub is connected to a router.

These two computers wont communicate to each other. computer one does not see computer two on the network. and computer 2 does not see computer one on the network

when i go into dos prompt and using the command ping i try to ping each others ip address, computer one has ip 192.168.0.126 and computer 2 has ip 192.168.0.116. They are both on the same group of 7711.

Both computers can see a third computer(which is windows xp home) on the network and computer three can see computer 2 but not computer 1.

If your not totally confused please help. :)

Try taking down all software firewalls.

These two computers wont communicate to each other

Please explain exactly what that means to you. If they can ping each other, they can 'communicate' to some extent.

Also, from each PC, please do the following from a cmd window and post the contents of the resulting text file(s)

    ipconfig /all > c:\config.txt
