    I have a laptop with XP Home. The only way that I can into MSPaint is thru RUN. How can I get it to accessories or on the Start menu?

    Right-click on the Start Button, choose Properties > Start Menu > Customize > Add and ... just follow the prompts.

    Or if you prefer.....

    Adjust your My computer>tools>folder options>view tab folder options so that you can see system and hidden folders.

    Then do a startmenu "search ": file search for mspaint.exe. The file is normally located in *:\windows\system32 where * equals your harddrive letter. When found you can right click on it. This will give you several options for creating a shortcut. You can
    * "Pin to startmenu"
    * "send to "> desktop as a shortcut then dragNdrop this on your startbutton
    * "select "creat shortcut ". This will be followed by a popup informing you it cannot create a shortcut here but would you like to send this to the desktop. Again you would have to drag to startbutton to add this to your startmenu.

    ---------
    You should already have an "All Programs "> "Accessories" folder on the startmenu which has a shortcut to paint. Is this not the case?

    Thanks for your replies. Not in Customize nor Accessories. Followed your advice and did a search for mspaint.exe. Right clicked and "Pin to startmenu ". Now have it. Thanks.
