I recently messed around a bit with File Folder, and File (the registered file types), and now for the life of me it won't let me remove a "New" entry I put in there. It's shortcut isn't pointing to any system related files, merely a BATCH file I created.

Any clue as to how to remove it?

    Regedit... something?

    Thanks!

Found a new tidbit that might help (or not).

'Folder' (not able to remove my custom command).

'File Folder' (I accidentally changed the "Edit" function for it).

    Um... thanks?

Just wanted to post a follow up. I never did find anything article/info-wise, so I instead looked up an old application I remembered...

    ContextEdit

...one of the PC Magazine utilities. Then, I looked up a link that "Kevin" (http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?threadid=905) gave me, and did a bit of twiddling. Well, not only did I fix my problems, but I fixed ANOTHER problem that resulted a little while after that one (folders not being opened in the same window, even though the option was checked).

With a bit of twiddling, and paying attention to my programming classes regarding DDE, I fixed it.

However!, you don't have to be a programmer, or expert to understand what I did. Merely pay attention.

Thanks! And if anyone else needs any related help from this proposed solution, drop me a mail.
