I have just switched from MSN.com to Comcast, and that means Outlook Express e-mail. I have now received two letters which include links to click on. One is to verify a Google News topic, and the other is an identification link from a friend who has a really serious anti-spam program.

The gist of it all is that the links don't work.

What am I doing wrong? And how can I do right?

    Thanks!

Thanks, Steve. I printed out the article & will follow the instructions. Seems easy enough.

Queuedecoton--Depending on when you got WinXP you may not have msjava.dll on your PC, so do not worry if you get an error message when you try to register it.
If the above fix does not work, two more things to try
IE Tools|Internet Options|Programs tab|check the box at the bottom "Internet Explorer should check to see whether.... "|Apply|Reboot.
When you reboot, or the next time you use IE, you should be asked if you want IE to be the default browser. Click Yes. (OE and IE are closely knit on this issue.)
And to enlarge on Steve R Jones' suggestion

Oh dear! I tried the article you recommended, but it doesn't seem to have worked.

    Any other possibilities?

Interesting - I never got a notification of Welshjim's response. I found it by going into Windows BBS & checking the posts that way.

Anyway, I'll try your suggestion and we'll see what happens.

I have the same problem-tried both links to MS and got a 404 Error.
Where in the KB can I find this info??
