I'm continuing with the installation of new programs on my new computer (with 2 partitions: C: for OS/program files, D: for data), and AVG is prompting me with a "personal Email scanner setup" screen.

"Message queue directory" defaults to C:\Documents and Settings\Rebecca\Application Data\AVG7\QUEUE

"Log file directory" defaults to C:\Documents and Settings\Rebecca\Application Data\AVG7\Log\

I have the option of changing these, and since I only want to have my OS and program files on C:, I'm wondering if they're files I should move to D:.

Anyone willing/able to direct me in this matter?
    Thanks!

Put them where you want them.

    Rebecca,
as a non AVG user, I suggest that you leave them in the default location. I think that those are not user files in the sense that you want them on the data partition for safe keeping.

    Assumption 1)

The queue is where messages are stored while being processed and then delivered to your email client. Mostly empty, I guess.

    Assumption 2)

The log will contain one or a few log files. Nothing you'd want on the data partition.

Thanks! In your absence, I decided to leave well enough alone, so I didn't change anything. :)
