Netscape Communicator Issue

    Dear Ramona,
    I am experiencing issues launching Netscape Messenger in the sense that upon clicking the icon from the Start Menu, the Netscape Communicator launches itself for a few seconds before closing out on me (it launches for a few seconds and then just disappears on its own); I am using Windows XP Professional Edition and there are no error messages that come up during this particular operation.

    Since I am relatively inexperienced with using Netscape/Mozilla, just wanted to get a first hand answer from you on this one; my sincere apologies if this issue has been raised by someone previously.

    Welcome to the Forum, PMBA!

    PMBA,

    You refer to Netscape Communicator, but I'm wondering if that's what you really mean. Can you tell us what Version of Netscape you are using, please? Click on the Help tab | About Netscape, and copy the entire user agent string. It should look something like this:
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 (No IDN) Netscape/7.2

    or this: Netscape® Communicator 4.79, if you are using Communicator.
