Sheduled Daily backups on a clients machine do not seem to be running. The backup logs for the last week have been blank, and the last backup I've been able to verify was on 9/30

At the time of the scheduled backups, I am getting this error in Event Viewer:

Keep in mind, this may have nothing to do with the backup problem, but we can address that issue later

I went to eventid.net, and got this information:

In MY case, it was "NtmsSvr ". The CLSID existed in the registry
In the Component Services, as described above, NtmsSvr does not exist. I checked my local machine, also running Windows XP Pro, and NtmsSvr doesn't exist there either, although it exists in the same registry key

Running Xp Pro on a Samba domain, if that makes a difference (I suspect that may have a bearing on the backups, but not the "missing" NtmsSvr)

    Any help/ideas would be appreciated

I hope I posted this in the correct place.

I also was unsure how to word the subject, as I feel I need to address the DCOM issue as well as the backup issue, as it may be a solution since the error only comes up at the same time as the scheduled backup

I found out that NtmsSvr is the Removeable Storage Service.
It was stopped in services, why, who knows...
I restarted it, so hopefully that will solve the problem.
Why Event Viewer listed it as a DCOM error is beyond me. If that wouldn't have been the case, I would've known earlier which way to steer my GOOGLING. ;)
