I have been getting this error ever since I upgraded to 1.0.7 It happens when I close FF.( instructions at "0x1000c4c4" referenced memory at "0x0119a3a8 ", The memory could not be "read ". Click OK to terminate the program) Any Ideas? It doesn't cause me any trouble as far as I know! PS I really like the spell checker on the forum

    First, get this wonderful program
    MozBackup
backup your profile. Even though uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox usually keeps the profiles intact (Uninstalling apparently doesn't mess with where the profiles are stored)

This may not help, but in my experience, updating Firefox has been buggy at best.
I would try then to uninstall all instances of Firefox from Add/Remove Programs.
    Then reinstall 1.0.7
As noted above, you may not even have to restore your backup, but it's nice to have in case you have alot of bookmarks and extensions.

I agree with D.T., make a backup of your profile, uninstall, and reinstall. Uninstalling Firefox won't touch the profile, but it's a good idea to have a separate backup of the profile. I don't use any programs to backup, I just copy the profile over to a separate folder (i.e. Firefox backup). I back mine up at least once a week, especially if I add a bunch of new bookmarks. It is always better to do a clean install then installing over the top of your current one.
