On a commercial web site of my daughters that contains several pictures along with paragraphs of text 2 of the images have disappeared and I cannot get them back. First, I know that her page is as it should be because it has been checked by several users on different computers. I have tried: reentering the webb address instead of "favorite places ", emptying cache, disabling NAV, Windows spyware, disabling ZA, rebooting, scanning with Spybot, Adaware and nothing shows.
Other graphics on her site remain fine, just 2 have disappeared.
It is a mystery to me. Anyone have any ideas ?

Budo--Are the images created by links to another site? If so, perhaps access to that site is blocked by your HOSTS file or possibly by your ISP's server. (Of course, if you do not have a HOSTS file, this cannot be the reason. Do a Search for HOSTS, not HOSTS.sam or LMHOSTS, just HOSTS.)
If you right click|Properties on the space where the image should be, the Address line should tell you the URL of the links.
You can copy that and paste into to your IE Address Bar|Enter. Or you could post here and we can try to access.
Is there any type of symbol/icon or message where the image ought to be?

    Hi Welchjim
No to answer your question they are not created by links to another site.
When I put the cursor on the spot where the images should be it show absolutely nothing - like nothing was ever there.
I tried clicking in that area but no response.

Have you checked to make sure the pictures are still on the server and still intact/not-damaged?

    Solved

Found out that for some reason the trial version of Zone Alarm Pro which I was trying was for whatever the reason, the culprit. I deleted that version and went back to the free version and graphics on that page appeared again.
    Very strange to me.
    Thanks for your help

Budo--Thanks for telling us the "fix ".
Strange that the problem was limited to only parts of the site. But what works is what counts. :)
As you know ZoneAlarmPro has several programs other than just a firewall. It would seem that is where the problem was.

    Hi welshjim
It was unusual that only some of the images were missing but it was a definite. All other images were intact but two were missing.
Initially when I was doing a process of elimination to find the problem I had shutdown Zone Alarm Pro and the problem still persisted but later I completely uninstalled it and then the problem was gone.
Afterwards I installed ZA free version and no problem.

    Thanks for your reply
