How in the world do you extract individual files from the Win2K Prof. CD? I can't seem to find any .cab files at all on the the thing? I need to extract a copy of fontext.dll to fix a buggy fonts folder but I can't even find the .cab files to extract it....

    Any help would be appreciated...

Never mind. Finally found a reference to this on Microsoft's Knowledgebase. Looks like they changed how things are done. No more .cab files in Win2K, just compressed individual files.

Looks like the new way of doing things can be found under Microsoft article Q314958

BTW, anyone else out there having more trouble finding things in the new KB now that Microsoft has redone it?

Finding anything on the KB has always been a joke. Even with the update they did you still get a bunch of stuff that does not pertain or you get nothing at all!

I have better luck searching Microsoft's site from Google by typing site:microsoft.com before I type my search criteria. I've found that Google search engine finds things better on Microsft's site than MS's own engine.
