    Hi there,

Is it possible to customize the 'page cannot be displayed' error message given when going to an invalid site? This is for assistance reasons.
I'd like it to be available to all users on the PCs.

    Thanks

quackbal--What type of "customization" are you hoping to achieve?
There are ways of changing the fonts and styles for webpages, but most changes that I am aware of are global (for all webpages, not just one type). For example, from IE Help
"To display Web page text in a different font
In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
On the General tab, click Fonts.
In the Web page font and Plain text font lists, click the fonts you want. "

There is also the ability to change Formatting and Style from IE Tools|Internet Options|General tab|Accessibility.
And there are other ideas on Accessiblity changes if, in IE Help|Contents and Index, you look under Accessibility and Fonts. Don't overlook the "Related Topics" option in most of these pages.
MS also offers telephone help for accessibility issues
"Microsoft provides a catalog of accessibility aids that can be used with the Windows operating systems. You can obtain this catalog from our Web site or by phone:

    Microsoft Sales Information Center
    One Microsoft Way
    Redmond, WA 98052-6393

World Wide Web: See the accessibility page on the Microsoft Web site.
    http://search.microsoft.com/search/results.aspx?st=b&na=88&View=en-us&qu=accessibility

    Voice telephone: (800) 426-9400

    Text telephone: (800) 892-5234 "

Quickbal - if I'm understanding you and you want to control what displays when one of your users hits an unavailable page, then two possible situations
    - the domain belongs to someone else and in that case you are stuck with whatever they are serving up for that situation
    - the domain belongs to you and in that case you can customize what a surfer sees when getting to a broken link or missing page or whatever

I'm referring to the message given by Internet Explorer if you reach a broken link. Such as DNS error etc. Is this customisable? I'm admin on the machines.

The only browser 'customization' you can do that I'm aware of is toggle IE to either use or not use "Friendly HTTP Error Messages" which is set in tools~internet options~advanced.

There may be some 3rd party tool that will allow more but I've never run across one.
