Hoping someone more familar with win2k than me might be able to give me a quick answer to this.

Added a 200GB IDE drive to a computer.

    Recognised by Bios as 200GB
    Jumpered correctly
    Win2k SP4
    Added reg entry for LBA
Dive shows up in Administrator Tools/Dive Management
Formatted as NTFS Single Primary Partition
    Assigned drive letter E
    Not showing in My Computer
Could explore the drive and copied files to it by right clicking on the drive in Disk Management and selecting explore.

Still not showing up in My Computer

    Now the Bizarro part.

Changed the CD and new hard drive letters around and now the new hard drive shows up in My Computer but the CD dirve no longer shows up. But u can access the CD drive through Disk Management, just doesn't show in My Computer.

This seems to be a drive letter limitation somewhere but where?

Hoping someone can give me a quick answer :)

Thanks for the help that was spot on.

The computer place it was purchased from also neglected to provide the screws needed to mount the drive in the Antec case which uses rubber grommets. Appears the people that sold the computer put the restictions in to make customers go back if they wanted to add a drive. **** dodgy computer shops

Yes, especially as each Antec case comes with a full set of mounting screws for each tray provided. Nothing like selling something two times over :(

    Nice case, though :)
