What is the recommended boot order in BIOS? I have XP SP2 Home Edition
I haven't checked the default set up on this computer yet. Is there a way to capture the settings? Camera Maybe? :)

    Hi Alicia,

What is the recommended boot order in BIOS?
I don't know what the official recomendation is but I would have the ROM's be the first boot device. If you have to boot the OS/ or boot disk, it's ready.

Just as older systems had the floppy as the 1st device by default, newer systems have the ROM as the 1st device by defualt - so I would take that as an "official" recomendation.

Camera would be a good idea to capture the settings.

    Regards - Charles

Hey!!!!! All systems go. I'm typing from you own computer. I did need to select that option that sounded like it would reinstall Windows. That allowed me to get into RC. From there I ran chkdsk /r and it repaired whatever was wrong. That you all for the wonderful help!!!!

Thanks. I'll try the Delete key and have a look.
