In the Windows XP Pro Start Menu on my desktop, in the second column, upper right My Network Places follows below My Computer. In my laptop, My Network Places does not appear at all. How can I correct this?

If you are using the XP Start Menu as opposed to the Classic Start Menu ....

Right click on a blank area of the Task Bar > Properties > Start Menu > Start Menu > Customize > Advanced and check 'My Network Places'.

Try here, right click on Start button/Properties/Start Menu tab/Customize/
Advanced tab/under Start menu item:> scroll down and make sure that
'My Nework Places' has a check-mark next to it/Ok/Apply/Ok

Thanks to you, too, Pete. Started reading at the end.
